KOLKATA: The parents of a female doctor who was brutally murdered after being sexually assaulted at a hospital in the West Bengal capital have exposed police bias.
According to the Indian media, the parents of the victim in the Kolkata rape and murder case revealed that the police did not support us from the beginning, if the doctors had not gone on strike and raised voices on social media, when would the police have finished the case.
The parents of the victim further said that the police not only tried to destroy the evidence in this case but also pressured us to withdraw from the case by luring money. Parents also criticized the government.
Lady doctor’s mother told the media during the protest that this demonstration should continue until justice is served. The victim’s father also appealed to the citizens to participate in the protests in maximum numbers.
The parents said that the people should support us, justice is not so easy, but if the people support us, it is possible.
It should be noted that in this case, the police has detained an accused named Sanjay Rai, who is a police volunteer. The CBI investigation proved that this was not a case of gang rape but only the arrested accused was involved in the incident.
