Somalia Defence Minister Meets Field Marshal Asim Munir to Boost Pakistan-Somali’a Defence Cooperation

A high-level delegation from the Federal Republic of Soma’lia, led by Defence Minister H.E. Ambassador Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces, at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security dynamics, and measures to further enhance bilateral defence and security cooperation were discussed. Both sides underscored the importance of deepening military-to-military ties and capacity building initiatives to counter common security challenges.
The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s steadfast support and the professional role played by the Pakistan Armed Forces in promoting regional peace and stability. The Field Marshal reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Somalia in strengthening its security apparatus and fostering enduring peace in the region.
