PAEC Concludes 51st Nathiagali Summer College, Strengthening Global Scientific Cooperation
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) has successfully concluded the 51st International Nathiagali Summer College, reaffirming its commitment to scientific excellence, international collaboration, and the development of emerging technologies.
The two-week academic event brought together renowned scientists, researchers, and young scholars from 20 countries across five continents, creating a vibrant platform for exchanging knowledge and strengthening global scientific partnerships.
This year’s programme focused on cutting-edge fields including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, advanced manufacturing, clean energy technologies, and other emerging scientific disciplines considered vital for Pakistan’s future development.
Addressing the closing ceremony, PAEC Chairman Dr. Raja Ali Raza Anwar said the Nathiagali Summer College has evolved into an influential platform for scientific diplomacy, international cooperation, and global partnerships. He noted that many former participants now hold leadership positions in research institutions, universities, and national organizations, reflecting the long-term impact of the programme.
Dr. Anwar emphasized that the 51st edition aligns closely with the government’s “Uraan Pakistan” vision, highlighting the importance of investing in science, innovation, and human capital to ensure sustainable national progress.
He reiterated PAEC’s commitment to promoting advanced scientific research, clean energy, agricultural innovation, and modern healthcare technologies, while stressing that developing skilled human resources remains one of the Commission’s highest priorities.
Congratulating the organizers, international experts, partner institutions, and participants, the PAEC chairman described the 51st International Nathiagali Summer College as another significant milestone in strengthening Pakistan’s scientific research ecosystem and expanding international collaboration.
