Lawyers filed a contempt of court petition for not meeting Imran Khan

Islamabad: Lawyers filed a contempt of court petition for not meeting PTI founder Imran Khan.

Founder PTI’s lawyer Intizar Panjutha has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court in which the Home Secretary and Superintendent Adiala Jail have been made parties.

The petition states that the Islamabad High Court has ordered a two-day meeting with the lawyers of the founder PTI in a week. According to the SOPs, the list of lawyers to meet today has been sent to the jail authorities, the jail authorities informed. That the lawyers will not be given a meeting with the founder of PTI.

In the petition, it was said that the conduct of the parties is a violation of the court orders, contempt of court proceedings should be initiated and the court should issue an order to arrange a meeting of the lawyers with the founding PTI.
