Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is facing shortage of weapons and modern vehicles.
According to the sources, the authorities have joined hands to prevent police target killing incidents, the government has decided to release one billion rupees in advance for the police.
B6 level protected vehicles will be purchased from the funds, according to the document, 80 crore rupees will be spent on purchasing a B6 level vehicle, and 20 crore rupees will be spent on purchasing a mine resistant vehicle.
Officials further say that the police need modern vehicles for peace and order, for which the provincial cabinet has approved the release of 1 billion rupees.
