“Salman Made Me Wait the Most” – Kajal Aggarwal Opens Up About Working with the Bollywood Star
Mumbai: Actress Kajal Aggarwal has candidly spoken about her experience working with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, saying that the actor kept her waiting on the sets more than anyone else she has worked with.
Speaking on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Kajal compared the work culture of Bollywood and the South Indian film industry, emphasizing that South Indian productions are generally more disciplined and punctual.
The actress shared that she has always been particular about arriving on set on time. However, during the filming of Sikandar, she often found herself waiting for Salman Khan to arrive.
“I couldn’t understand what was happening. He would usually come to the set in the afternoon or even later in the evening. Meanwhile, I would spend my time working out in the gym on the set,” Kajal said.
She added that her experience in the South Indian film industry has made her accustomed to strict schedules and efficient time management, something she believes Bollywood could adopt.
Kaja’l Aggarwal starred alongside Salman Khan in Sikandar, directed by acclaimed filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss. The action drama was released on March 30, 2025.
Her remarks have sparked fresh discussions on professionalism and punctuality in the Indian film industry, with many fans comparing working cultures across Bollywood and South Indian cinema.
