Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, has seen a remarkable transformation in its traffic management system under the dynamic leadership of Chief Traffic Officer SSP Muhammad Sarfraz Virk. Since assuming office, CTO has implemented several initiatives aimed at improving the traffic system, ensuring the safety of citizens, and making processes more transparent and accessible.One of the most significant measures taken under his tenure is the complete ban on the *tout mafia* within the ITP premises. By eradicating this group, the ITP has made great achievement in restoring public trust and promoting transparency in its operations. Another revolutionary step is the introduction of a **mobile license service**, which makes obtaining a driving license more convenient than ever. The mobile service is particularly beneficial for those who find it difficult to visit the licensing office, whether due to busy schedules, distance, or other personal constraints. With this initiative, the ITP has not only made the licensing process easier but also ensured that more citizens have access to proper documentation, promoting safer roads across the city.In addition to local improvements, CTO has overseen the expansion of the licensing system to a **nationwide scope**, allowing citizens from all across the country to obtain driving licenses in Islamabad. This is a significant departure from the previous system, where licensing was restricted to residents of the capital. This new countrywide licensing initiative reflects the ITP’s commitment to serving the entire population, ensuring that more people have access to high-quality and transparent services.One of the key principle of CTO’s administration is the enforcement of **zero tolerance for traffic violators**. Under his leadership, there has been a noticeable decline in traffic violations, as the police now strictly follow to rules and regulations. This zero-tolerance policy has helped in reducing accidents, encouraging adherence to traffic laws, and fostering a culture of responsibility among drivers. From cracking down on speeding and signal-breaking to addressing the issue of underage drivers, the ITP’s firm stance on violations has made Islamabad’s roads considerably safer for both motorists and pedestrians.Sarfraz Virk’s proactive leadership and innovative measures have set a new standard for traffic management across Pakistan. The Islamabad Traffic Police is now a model for efficiency, transparency, and public service. The people of Islamabad, and indeed the entire country, are benefitting from these reforms, with safer roads and more accessible services. CTO Sarfraz Virk and his team deserve commendation for their dedication to creating a more accountable and effective traffic system. Through these initiatives, Islamabad is not only becoming a safer city to drive in but also setting an example for other cities to follow. In addition to these reforms, the role of the Public Relations Officer (PRO) Nafees Iqbal has been instrumental in promoting the ITP’s initiatives and fostering positive relations with the media. By effectively communicating the ITP’s progress and ensuring accurate media coverage, Nafees Iqbal has been playing a key role in building a positive public image for the traffic police. His efforts in keeping the public informed and managing media relations are critical to maintaining the department’s transparency and accountability.
