Islamabad: The hearing on bail applications of more than 300 accused arrested during PTI protest on November 26 was held at the Judicial Complex, Islamabad.
The hearing was conducted by Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain.
The accused’s lawyers Ansar Kayani, Sardar Bushak, Qamar Inayat Raja, Agha Syed Faisal and others appeared in the court, while Prosecutor Raja Naveed also appeared in the court.
During the hearing, the judge remarked that bails have been secured, you should do this with one lawyer, the lawyer took the position that there are Afghans and Pakistanis in it, the judge remarked that you should tell their names to the extent of Afghans, and they will be separated.
The lawyer said that all Afghans are legally living in Pakistan, all of them have their papers attached, legal Afghans have applied for asylum and they do not engage in such activities, all Afghans have been picked up from their homes, Karachi Company and Tarnol.
The judge inquired how many people are there in total, the lawyer replied that it is 146 people,
The judge asked whether all of them have been booked, the lawyer said that all of them have been booked with suspicious charges, no video and no private witness.
Earlier, there was a long power outage in the judicial complex of the Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court since morning, today more than three hundred post-arrest bail applications of PTI are under hearing in the Anti-Terrorism Court, due to lack of electricity, the judicial complex was plunged into darkness.
Electricity was restored in the judicial complex, after which the hearing on more than 300 bails started.
