Chery Master Pakistan will reveal the price and open bookings for the new electric vehicle at Pakistan Auto Show 2026 on September 18.
KARACHI: Chery Master Pakistan is set to expand its electric vehicle lineup in Pakistan with the introduction of the Chery Q, a fully electric vehicle designed for urban mobility and everyday driving.
The company has announced that the vehicle will officially be showcased at the Pakistan Auto Show 2026, where its price will be revealed and bookings will open on September 18.
The Chery Q comes equipped with a 42.7kWh battery, offering a claimed driving range of up to 400 kilometres on a single charge under the NEDC cycle. The vehicle is also rated for energy efficiency of up to 9.4 kilometres per unit.
The new EV is equipped with a range of technology-focused features, including Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with 21 assistance functions. It also features an automatic parking assist system, a 15.6-inch 2.5K display, mobile connectivity and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality.
The launch comes as Pakistan’s new energy vehicle market continues to expand. According to the company, the sector recorded 392% growth during fiscal year 2025-26, reaching around 15% of the overall automobile market.
Chery Master Pakistan also highlighted the potential cost advantage of electric mobility. It estimates that a conventional petrol vehicle travelling around 20,000 kilometres annually could consume approximately Rs488,000 worth of fuel, while the annual energy cost of the Chery Q could be around Rs30,000 when charged using surplus solar electricity.
Pakistan’s growing adoption of solar power could further support EV charging. The company noted that the country imported around 17 gigawatts of solar PV capacity in 2024, contributing to the expansion of rooftop solar installations.
With the Chery Q, households could potentially use surplus solar-generated electricity to charge their vehicles instead of sending excess power back to the grid.
The price and booking details of the Chery Q will be officially announced on September 18 at the Pakistan Auto Show 2026.
