Islamabad: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that after the approval of the Army Act Amendment Bill, Army Chief General Asim Munir will remain the Army Chief till 2027.
Talking to private TV after the amendment bill was passed, he said that General Asim Munir will remain the Army Chief of Pakistan till 2027. Earlier, several army chiefs were given extensions which civilian governments had to get approved by parliament, now the chapter of tenure extension is over.
The journalist asked the defense minister that there is a deal with the founder PTI. In response, he said that there is nothing like that, I have heard from you.
He said that the destiny of Pakistan will change only when we ourselves are well. In response to a question, he said that wherever Bushra Bibi is, I should not comment on it.
