Company recognised for its people-centred sustainability journey and contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals

Lahore, October 6, 2026: Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited has secured first position in the Human Rights category at the United Nations Global Compact Network Pakistan (UN GCNP) Sustainability Awards 2026, recognising the company’s commitment to responsible business practices, inclusion and sustainable development.

The recognition highlights Fatima Fertilizer’s people-centred sustainability strategy and its efforts to create positive social and economic impact for employees, farmers and local communities.

The company formally strengthened its sustainability framework in November 2024, becoming the first private-sector organisation in Pakistan to adopt the UNDP SDG Impact Framework. Under the framework, Fatima Fertilizer has aligned its initiatives with 15 Sustainable Development Goals and 49 targets across eight priority impact areas.

Its sustainability initiatives cover a wide range of areas, including farmer livelihoods, food security, employee welfare, women’s empowerment, education, skills development, environmental protection, climate action, resource efficiency, digital inclusion and responsible agriculture.

Commenting on the achievement, Rabel Sadozai, Director Marketing and Sales at Fatima Fertilizer, said the Human Rights award represents an important recognition of the company’s people-focused approach to sustainability.

The company said its efforts contribute to several UN Sustainable Development Goals, including Zero Hunger, Good Health and Well-being, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Reduced Inequalities, and Responsible Consumption and Production.

The latest award adds to Fatima Fertilizer’s growing record of sustainability and impact recognitions and underscores its stated ambition to embed sustainability into its business strategy, operations and long-term value creation.
