Sangeeta Reveals Third Marriage to Film Distributor Tariq Mendro
ISLAMABAD — Veteran Pakistani actress and filmmaker Sangeet’a has revealed that she has been married for the past 14 years to film industry distributor Tariq Mendro, putting an end to years of privacy surrounding her personal life.
Sangeet’a made the revelation during a recent television appearance, where she spoke openly about her current marriage as well as her experiences in her previous relationships.
According to the actress, her first marriage was to Humayun Qureshi, while her second marriage was to Naveed Akbar. Both marriages eventually ended before she later married Tariq Mendro.
Sangeeta said she had become lonely after her daughters got married. During that period, Tariq Mendro reportedly proposed to her several times.
The veteran actress explained that she eventually realized that having a companion becomes important as people grow older, which led her to accept his proposal and enter into her third marriage.
Speaking about the secret behind her successful relationship, Sangeeta highlighted mutual respect and peaceful communication between the couple.
She said her current husband does not use abusive language, does not physically assault her and does not unnecessarily engage in arguments. She added that whenever he becomes angry, he prefers to quietly leave the room rather than escalate the situation.
Sangeeta’s disclosure has offered a rare insight into her personal life and her perspective on companionship and marriage later in life.
