Sadia Imam Reveals Bitter Showbiz Experiences, Says Fake Friends Are Worse Than Being Alone
Pakistani actress and host Sadia Imam has opened up about some of the difficult experiences she faced during her career in the entertainment industry, revealing that she was repeatedly disappointed and ignored by people she considered close friends and colleagues.
Speaking in a recent interview, Sadia said that when she entered showbiz, there were very few female artists of her age, which meant that most of her professional circle consisted of men.
According to the actress, some colleagues behaved warmly in front of her but spoke negatively about her behind her back and even attempted to have her removed from certain projects.
Sadia revealed that some people would say she should not be cast because she was not a “party girl” and did not socialize much during shoots. She claimed that certain colleagues preferred women who were more socially outgoing and friendly with them.
Reflecting on the lessons she learned, Sadia recalled her father’s advice that it was better to remain alone than to keep fake friends.
Her candid remarks shed light on the challenges and pressures that artists can face behind the glamour of the entertainment industry.
