Bangladeshi Actress Ridhika Ridhi Found Dead at Dhaka Home
DHAKA: Bangladeshi model and actress Ridhika Ridhi was found dead at her residence in the Bashundhara residential area of Dhaka on Saturday, with police launching an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
According to police, Ridhi was found hanging from a ceiling fan at around 6am. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.
Otara Police Station officer-in-charge Mazharul Islam said the initial investigation indicated a possible suicide, but authorities were examining all aspects of the incident before reaching any final conclusion.
Police Investigate Circumstances Surrounding Actress’s Death
Family sources said Ridhi had been in a relationship with a man. Police said the pair reportedly had an argument during a video call shortly before the incident.
Authorities are investigating the reported dispute along with other circumstances surrounding Ridhi’s death. Police have not announced a final determination regarding the cause of death.
Ridhi was known for her work in both modeling and television drama. She appeared in several productions, including “Ekhane Manush Bekari,” “Bahuroopi,” “Double Honeymoon” and “Sundori.”
Her death has drawn attention among Bangladesh’s entertainment community, where she was recognized for her modeling and acting work.
