Fact Check: Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez Not Getting Married This Week

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez Not Getting Married

Viral Wedding Rumors Busted: Ronaldo and Georgina’s August 1 Marriage Claim Is False

ISLAMABAD, July 31, 2026: Rumors circulating on social media claiming that football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and his fiancée Georgina Rodriguez are set to marry this week are false, according to multiple media reports.

The speculation began after Portuguese TV show V+ Fama host Adriano Silva Martins claimed that Ronaldo and Georgina would tie the knot on August 1.

The report also alleged that the wedding would take place at Portugal’s historic Quinta da Regaleira estate, with guests reportedly required to wear black attire.

Viral Wedding Claim Debunked

Spanish magazine Hola! has dismissed the claims, confirming that Ronaldo and Georgina are not getting married this week.

According to the publication, the venue that was rumored to host the ceremony will remain open to tourists on August 1. A separate musical performance is also scheduled there the same evening, making it highly unlikely that a high-profile private wedding is taking place at the location.

Ronaldo and Georgina’s Relationship

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez have been together since 2016 and announced their engagement in August 2025.

In a 2025 interview, Ronaldo stated that he planned to marry Georgina after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, suggesting that the wedding is expected to take place at a later date rather than this week.

At present, there has been no official confirmation from either Cristiano Ronaldo or Georgina Rodriguez regarding a wedding on August 1.
