Belarus Defence Delegation Meets Pakistan Air Chief to Boost Military, Aerospace Cooperation

Islamabad, July 30, 2026 :: A high-level defence delegation of the Republic of Belarus, led by Major GeneralĀ  Muraveiko Pavel Nikolayevich, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces & First Deputy Defence Minister called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, at Air Headquarters, Islamabad. During the meeting both sides held comprehensive discussions on bilateral defence & industrial cooperation, military-to-military engagements, training and aerospace collaboration in emerging technologies, reaffirming their shared commitment to further strengthening the longstanding partnership between Pakistan and Belarus.

Chief of the Air Staff warmly welcomed the distinguished delegation and reaffirmed Pakistan Air Force’s commitment to further deepening bilateral defence ties between the two countries. Highlighting PAF’s modernization drive, indigenization initiatives and operational excellence, the Air Chief underscored the importance of fostering enduring partnerships through enhanced military collaboration, joint training initiatives, technological cooperation and defence industrial synergy. He also reiterated PAF’s resolve to expand bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual training though joint exercises, and promoting robust technical & operational collaboration between the Air Forces of the two friendly nations.

Major General Muraveiko Pavel Nikolayevich commended the remarkable progress achieved by Pakistan Air Force under the visionary leadership of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu. He was highly impressed by PAF’s operational preparedness, technological advancements and self-reliance initiatives, describing it as a model for modern Air Forces to emulate. The visiting dignitary conveyed his strong desire to broadening bilateral defence cooperation and expressed confidence that the growing partnership would yield tangible outcomes across defence, aerospace and training domains. He also expressed keen interest in forging joint ventures with National Aerospace Science & Technology Park, describing it as a transformative centre of innovation that is shaping the future of aerospace and aviation through cutting-edge technologies and collaborative ventures.
