Washington:
An important meeting was hosted by US President Donald Trump in Washington, in which Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif, as well as the heads of Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, participated.
This high-level meeting considered the peace, governance and security situation after the ongoing war in Gaza.
Before the meeting, the Prime Minister also met with the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, King Abdullah II of Jordan and President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia, in which warm handshakes, informal and frank talks and exchanges took place between the world leaders.

US President Donald Trump has held informal exchanges with the leaders of eight Islamic and Arab countries, including Pakistan. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar also participated in this important meeting.
The informal talks between President Trump and Muslim leaders were aimed at discussing peace, cooperation and global issues in the region. Various regional and global issues were discussed on the occasion and emphasis was placed on increasing mutual cooperation.
According to US media reports, President Trump has urged Arab and Muslim countries to play a practical role in establishing peace in Gaza.
In this regard, the US wants Muslim countries to not only deploy their forces in Gaza to make the Israeli withdrawal possible, but also provide financial assistance in the process of rebuilding the region and transferring power.
Addressing the UN General Assembly before this meeting, President Trump made it clear that recognizing a Palestinian state would actually be tantamount to rewarding Hamas’ atrocities.
He said that some countries are moving towards recognizing a Palestinian state, but this process could prove detrimental to peace.
He said that the US wants an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the recovery of hostages, 38 of whom are in Hamas’s custody.
President Trump alleged that Hamas has rejected the offer of a peace agreement in recent days and that the forces that want peace should make every effort to release the hostages.
During the meeting, the leaders of Muslim countries also presented their positions and suggestions for peace in the region, but no joint action plan has been announced yet.
After the meeting, the leaders left the hall in silence, but after some time, the US President, while talking to the media, described the meeting as a very successful one.
President Trump said that this was a great meeting in which significant progress was made on the Gaza issue. Discussions with all major stakeholders except Israel were positive and I hope that we will be able to take some concrete steps for Gaza.
