Reputed director and producer Wajahat Rauf has revealed that he introduced Pakistani showbiz superstar Mahira Khan to the world of showbiz.
Producer Wajahat Rauf participated in a podcast with his wife and producer Shazia Wajahat where they discussed various topics.
Wajahat Rauf said that he saw Mahira Khan dancing at an event many years ago and was very impressed by her style of entertainment, after which he decided to bring Mahira on TV. He said that he then contacted Mahira and hired her as a VJ on a private TV.
Wajahat added that Mahira worked with him on this channel for three to four years. Wajahat and his wife said that they could not work with Mahira anymore due to remuneration and commitments, but in the future they would like to work with Mahira and Fawad Khan.
It should be noted that Mahira Khan started her showbiz career as a VJ in 2006. Later, she gained fame internationally including Pakistan with the famous drama ‘Humsafar’ and the film ‘Bol’. She also got the opportunity to work with Shah Rukh Khan in Bollywood in the film ‘Raees’.
