Islamabad:Building upon its coveted standing as a quality higher education institution with a strong R&D base, National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) has unlocked yet another crowning achievement in world rankings. The university has ascended 17 positions to be ranked at #127 in Engineering & Technology as per QS Subject Rankings 2025. As per the 2025 rankings, NUST for the first time has earned its place among the top 200 world universities in 4 subjects, including Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. Overall NUST has improved in 11 subject areas, while retaining its position in 5 subjects as compared to the last year. NUST has also made significant headway in two key disciplines. In Natural Sciences, NUST has surged 72 places to currently rank at #322 globally. Similarly, in Social Sciences & Management, NUST has made a leap of 39 positions to now stand at #361, which speaks of the university’s commitment to creating discernible impact through higher education. With the ranking of Architecture/Built Environment for the first time, NUST now has at least one subject ranked in all 5 broad subjects. NUST’s performance in the latest QS World University Subject Rankings 2025, marks a significant step in NUST’s growth, showcasing its ability to achieve excellence in emerging and diverse academic areas.
