ISLAMABAD: PTI founder Imran Khan has challenged the judges transfer notification in the Islamabad High Court in the Supreme Court.
The petition was filed under Article 184 (3) of the Constitution, in which the federal government and the four high courts have been made parties.
Imran Khan has requested that the notification of judges’ transfer be declared illegal, unconstitutional and null and void, while the principles of the constitution and independence of the judiciary should be fully adhered to in the transfer of judges.
He requested that the Supreme Court order to ensure the implementation of the principles laid down in the Al-Jihad Trust case.
The federal government, the registrars of Lahore, Sindh, Balochistan and Islamabad High Courts have been made parties in the petition.
