A Dhaka court has ordered the seizure of the family properties and bank accounts of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Hasina Wajid.
The court ordered the seizure of the former prime minister’s house in Dhan Mandi area, known as Sudha Sadhan, along with properties owned by other family members.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Zakir Hussain Ghalib issued this order after a request from the Anti-Corruption Commission. Sheikh Hasina’s late husband, nuclear scientist MA Wajid Mian, was called Sudha Mian.
That is why the house was also named after Sudha Sadhan. According to Indian media, an official said that the court has also issued an order to seize 124 bank accounts belonging to her family.
