The Palestinian resistance organization Hamas has handed over the bodies of four Israeli hostages to the Red Cross and is now waiting for the release of 620 Palestinian prisoners from Israel under the agreement.
According to a foreign news agency, Abu Ubaidah, a spokesman for Hamas’ military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, said that these bodies were handed over to the Red Cross some time ago and now the release of the Palestinian prisoners is awaited. He said that these bodies are those of Itzahi Eidan, Itzik Al-Jarit, Ohad Yahlumi, and Shlomo Mansour.
According to Arab media, an Israeli security official has also confirmed this and now a Red Cross convoy has left Israel’s Ofer prison carrying dozens of released Palestinian prisoners. Under the agreement, Israel is expected to release 620 Palestinian prisoners.
According to Arab media, more than 600 Palestinian prisoners who were supposed to be released last week but were blocked by Israel will be released today.
It should be recalled that last week, Hamas and Israel agreed to release 620 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the bodies of 4 more hostages.
