Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif has demanded an investigation into Punjab’s advertising budget.
In his statement, Barrister Saif said that the money of the poor people of Punjab is being wasted on advertisements, which is a violation of the Supreme Court’s decision. Has inflation and unemployment ended in Punjab? What performance is being advertised?
He said that after the black law, newspapers have been converted into advertisements with the money of the people’s taxes. Now, advertisements will not be published in newspapers. It should be told how much money was spent on advertising for an individual? There should be an investigation into why government money was wasted? This money should be collected from those responsible and deposited in the national treasury.
Barrister Dr. Saif said that the performance of unelected governments in Sindh and Punjab is limited to advertising drama, the people are not seeing it or feeling it. Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s humorous advertisement for “government promotion” is the height of frustration, these characters have become a joke in the public’s desire to become leaders.
The KP Information Advisor said that it is unfortunate to waste public money on forcibly making “two non-political children” leaders through government advertisements. If it were not for the Twenty-sixth Amendment, perhaps the judiciary would have taken notice of the looting of the nation’s resources and violation of its orders.
