Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari will leave for the People’s Republic of China today on a four-day official visit.
President Asif Ali Zardari is paying this visit at the special invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, in which bilateral relations and various important issues will be discussed.
President Zardari will hold meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li Keqiang and other senior Chinese officials in Beijing. Economic and trade cooperation, counter-terrorism, security cooperation and other joint development projects including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) between Pakistan and China will be discussed in these meetings.
In addition, the global and regional geopolitical situation and cooperation in multilateral forums will also be discussed. At the special invitation of the Chinese government, President Asif Ali Zardari will also attend the opening ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games to be held in Harbin, China.
A high-level delegation will also accompany the President to China, including Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
