Israel blew up several buildings during an operation in the occupied West Bank.
According to foreign media, the Israeli army carried out a brutal operation and destroyed several buildings, including houses, in the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank. One person was martyred due to the aggression of Israeli forces.
A statement issued by the Israeli army spokesman claimed that the buildings targeted were home to Hamas leaders and activists. In view of the terrorist threats, 23 buildings were destroyed in Jenin. The spokesman also claimed to have martyred 50 Palestinian fighters in the West Bank since mid-January.
On the other hand, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in the West Bank. The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned the destruction of buildings by Israeli forces in Jenin, saying that this was a barbaric act.
In the West Bank, Israel launched Operation Iron Wall last month, aimed at attacking Palestinian resistance groups, particularly in Jenin.
