Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court has stayed the trial court from proceeding with the case filed against Director Anti-Corruption KP Siddique Anjum over the alleged social media campaign against Additional Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar.
Justice Babar Sattar issued a written order for hearing on Siddique Anjum’s petition, which stated that the court expects that the trial court will not take further action until the matter is resolved in the High Court.
The court sought the case record and detailed report from the DG FIA, and the court ruled that prima facie the FIA misused its powers.
According to the lawyer, the case was registered against Humayun Dilawar on the instructions of the petitioner, and the case against the petitioner is a counter-action to the same FIR. Further hearing will be held on February 10.
