The release of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s new film ‘Sky Force’ has been banned in several Middle Eastern countries.
According to foreign media, this film, produced under the banner of Madoc Films, depicts India’s first air strike and was released in cinemas on the occasion of Indian Republic Day. The ban on this film has been implemented in other Asian countries including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman.
No clear reason for this ban has been revealed, however, industry sources say that the subject of the film, which revolves around the tension between India and Pakistan, could be a possible reason for its ban.
It should be remembered that this is not the first time that a Bollywood film has been banned from screening in the Middle East due to the sensitivity of the content.
Along with Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur, Sharad Kelkar, and Veer Pahari have played important roles in ‘Sky Force’. It is worth mentioning here that the film has been cleared by the Indian Censor Board with a U/A 13+ certificate without any cuts.
