Islamabad:Altaf Ahmed Bhat, Chairman of the Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM), has lauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his strong and unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination. The Prime Minister’s renewed commitment to providing political, moral, and diplomatic backing to the people of Kashmir has been described by Bhat as a critical step in amplifying the Kashmiri cause on international platforms.In addition to appreciating the Prime Minister’s stance on Kashmir, Bhat also praised the inauguration of the Danish School by PM Shehbaz Sharif, calling it a revolutionary initiative in the education sector. He emphasized that such forward-thinking steps have the potential to transform the lives of underprivileged communities, particularly in regions like Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. “The establishment of high-quality educational institutions like Danish Schools is a testament to PM Shehbaz Sharif’s vision for uplifting marginalized regions. Extending similar initiatives to Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan can empower the youth and unlock their full potential,” Bhat said.Highlighting the importance of education and healthcare for sustainable development, the JKSM Chairman urged the Prime Minister to prioritize these sectors in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. He stressed that improving access to quality education and modern healthcare facilities would not only alleviate the hardships faced by the people of these regions but also contribute significantly to their socio-economic progress. “By investing in schools, universities, hospitals, and clinics in these neglected areas, the government can create opportunities for growth and prosperity, paving the way for a brighter future,” Bhat remarked.Bhat reiterated that the resolution of the Kashmir conflict remains essential for peace in South Asia. He called on the international community to actively support Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts and implement United Nations resolutions to uphold the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.He concluded by expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his continued efforts in highlighting the plight of Kashmiris and urged him to extend his vision for development to ensure that the people of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan have access to the same opportunities as the rest of the country. “Education and health are the foundations of a prosperous society.
