According to official sources, the civil administration, police and other security agencies jointly conducted a search and clearance operation in Bagan from January 19 to 21, as a result of which a large number of illegal weapons have been recovered.
During the search and clearance operation, local elders and the public cooperated fully and ensured the provision of information. This success is an important step towards establishing lasting peace in the area and eliminating criminal elements.
The convoy carrying supplies is likely to leave for Parachinar today.
Official sources say that according to the peace agreement signed by the parties in Kurram, strict action will be taken against the miscreants indiscriminately in the future as well.
On the other hand, the district administration says that work has begun on the complete cleansing of all the miscreants in the operation. The renovation of the mosque in Bagan area of Kurram and the start of the cleaning campaign in the area are a sign of mutual cooperation between the people and the administration.
