The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has taken a final decision to launch an operation in various areas to restore law and order in Kurram Agency.
The operation will be conducted in the tense areas of Bagan, Chapri, Chapri Parwan, and Mandori of Kurram Agency, so that unrest can be eliminated from the area.
In this regard, a notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner Kurram has said that temporary camps will be established for the victims of the operation.
The notification has said that camps for the victims during the operation in Kurram Agency will be established in Hangu district.
The provincial government will set up camps in 2 colleges, the Rescue Compound, and the Judicial Building in Hangu.
It should be noted that 2 days ago, a convoy of vehicles carrying relief supplies to Parachinar was fired upon in Bagan area of Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as a result of which several people including a soldier were killed. The tortured bodies of 4 drivers were also found in the Bagan area.
Hangu Assistant Commissioner Saeed Manan confirmed the attack on a convoy of 35 vehicles carrying relief supplies to Parachinar from Tal.
Later, it was reported that the death toll in the attack on the convoy of vehicles carrying relief supplies to Parachinar in Bagan has reached 10.
District Health Officer (DHQ) Qaiser Abbas had said that the deaths confirmed so far in the attack on the convoy of vehicles include another security personnel, 6 drivers and 2 passengers.
