The District and Sessions Court Islamabad has issued arrest warrants for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Shoaib Shaheen, Ali Bukhari, Aamir Mughal, Ayaz Amir, Khalid Khurshid, Ilyas Mehrban and Malik Taimur in a case of violation of Section 144.
Senior Civil Judge Muhammad Abbas Shah heard the Section 144 violation case against PTI leaders in the District and Sessions Court Islamabad.
None of the accused and their lawyers appeared in court during the hearing.
The court issued arrest warrants for Shoaib Shaheen, Ali Bukhari, Aamir Mughal, Ayaz Amir, Khalid Khurshid, Ilyas Mehrban, Malik Taimur. The court issued arrest warrants for all the absent accused and adjourned further hearing till March 10.
It may be recalled that the District and Sessions Court Islamabad had acquitted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan on November 13, 2024, in a case registered under Section 144 and other provisions, including violation of the Amplifier Act.
The court had also acquitted PTI founder Asad Qaiser, Saifullah Niazi, Sheikh Rashid, Sadaqat Abbasi, Faisal Javed and Ali Nawaz from the case.
