The World Health Organization (WHO) has once again requested China to provide all data and access related to the Corona epidemic to help understand how the coronavirus spread.
Five years after the start of the pandemic, the WHO has once again appealed to China to provide details of the origin of the Corona virus.
In a statement issued, the organization said that
We remain in touch with China to share data and provide full access to it so that we can understand the origin of the Corona epidemic. This is a moral and scientific necessity.
The statement said that without transparency, sharing and cooperation between countries, the world cannot adequately prevent and prepare for future pandemics.
The UN agency explained how on December 31, 2019, health authorities in Wuhan, China, issued a media statement regarding cases of “viral pneumonia” in the city.
In the weeks, months and years that followed, the coronavirus changed our lives and our world.
The organization added that now that we remember those devastating times, let us also take a moment to remember the lives that were lost, pay attention to those who have not yet recovered from the effects of the corona pandemic, and thank the medical staff who have made great sacrifices to care for us. We need to learn a lot from the corona pandemic for a healthy future.
