The Peshawar High Court has granted bail and security to over 140 PTI leaders, MLAs and workers after the PTI protest at D-Chowk Islamabad on November 24.
Since November 28, more than 140 applications of PTI leaders and MLAs have been heard in the Peshawar High Court, more than 70 bail and 69 security applications have been heard in the High Court, the apex court has granted bail and security to all the applicants.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur is also among those who have received security and bail. Apart from them, all senior PTI leaders have approached the Peshawar High Court for bail and details of the cases.
PTI Secretary General Salman Akram, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub obtained transit and security bail from the High Court, while the High Court also granted protective bail to PTI founder Bushra Bibi, his wife, until January 16.
Members of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser, Shibli Faraz, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Sherafazal Marwat, Junaid Akbar also appeared in the High Court for protective bail, while members of the National Assembly Shehryar Afridi, Atif Khan, Shahram Tarakai, Adil Bazai, Anwar Taj, Faisal Amin and others also obtained protective bail.
Apart from them, provincial ministers Aftab Alam, Faisal Tarakai, Sohail Afridi and others also obtained protective bail.
Members of the National Assembly Shandana Gulzar, Zartaj Gul, Deputy Speaker Suraya Bibi, Senator Falak Naz, Kanwal Shozab, Alia Hamza, Sanam Javed, Hadija Shah, Mashal Yousafzai, Hamida Shah have also been granted transit and security bail by the Peshawar High Court.
