Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan Chairman Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has expressed regret over the martyrdom of Rangers and police personnel at the hands of protesters in Islamabad.
In a statement, he said that Pakistan cannot afford any kind of chaos at this time, PTI leaders should show responsibility, PTI should think for the betterment of Pakistan before its interests and politics.
Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that all political parties including PTI and every citizen have the right to protest, but challenging the government’s writ is an irresponsible act that does not befit any patriotic political party.
Khalid Maqbool said that PTI leaders should remember that governments keep changing and can be protested against within the ambit of the law, but no Pakistani will tolerate a single step taken against Pakistan.
He further said that PTI will never be able to tolerate extreme measures like martyrdom of government officials or direct attacks on the state. Finally, he thanked the peaceful and patriotic citizens of Karachi for not becoming part of the anti-state protests and mischief.
