Islamabad: Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel, who is part of the constitutional bench, has recused himself from hearing the case related to sword hunting.
Justice Jamal Mandokhel said that he has heard a case against sword hunting in the Balochistan High Court.
Additional Attorney General Aamir Rehman said that the concept of sword hunting is like the official hunting of Markhor, and hunting of Markhor is called trophy hunting.
Justice Jamal Mandokhel said that there is a difference between sword hunting and ibex trophy hunting. Justice Mussrat Hilali said that swords are migratory birds.
Gilgit-Baltistan High Court Appointments Case
The constitutional bench adjourned the hearing of the Gilgit-Baltistan High Court Appointments case until next week on the request of the petitioner, lawyer Makhdoom Ali Khan.
Lawyer Makhdoom Ali Khan said that he could not come to Islamabad due to the circumstances, the matter of appointments in the Gilgit-Baltistan judiciary is important and it will be difficult to give arguments through video link.
