US President-elect Donald Trump has received a major relief in the election interference case.
Special Counsel Jack Smith announced the end of the case against Donald Trump, saying that he stands by the charges but that Justice Department policy prevents him from taking action against the president.
It should be noted that a new indictment was filed against Trump by Prosecutor Jack Smith in August this year regarding attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
The indictment contained the same criminal charges as the previously filed indictment, however, the charges against Trump in the new indictment were reduced after the Supreme Court ruled on the immunity granted to US presidents.
