Lahore: Pakistan’s famous actor, comedian and host Sohail Ahmed recently expressed his views on Diljit Dosanjh’s love and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan in a media talk.
Sohail Ahmed said that whenever he mentioned Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan in front of Diljit, he would talk about him with great respect and say, “I have never seen an artist like him, he was truly out of this world.”
Sohail Ahmed added that Diljit Dosanjh believes that Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s music influenced people around the world and his poetry and songs are unparalleled.
He said that Indian artists greatly appreciate Pakistani poetry and culture and respect Pakistani singers, actors and musicians.
In this regard, Sohail Ahmed raised an important point that we should respect our artists and they should not need to go to the international level to get respect in our country.
He gave the example of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and said that he was a star even when he used to sing outside Data Darbar in Lahore.
