The 1993 Bollywood hit thriller Baazigar, in which Shah Rukh Khan reinvented himself as a quirky anti-hero character, is still ruling the hearts of moviegoers.
Recently, news has emerged that a sequel to the cult classic is being planned, and producer Ratan Jain confirmed that he intends to make Baazigar 2.
Ratan Jain said that talks are underway for the preparations for Baazigar 2 and that Shah Rukh Khan is an important part of the project. He said, “We keep talking to Shah Rukh about Baazigar 2. There has not been much progress yet, but the film will definitely get made.”
Unique story and new style essential Ratan Jain said that he wants to make Baazigar 2 only when it has a strong story and a new style.
He said that there is an interesting idea, but a strong script and fresh direction are necessary so that the sequel can live up to the high expectations of the original film’s success.
It has been 31 years since the release of the film Baazigar, and Shah Rukh Khan’s anti-hero character is still fresh in the hearts of people.
The film featured well-known artists like Kajol, Shilpa Shetty, Siddharth Roy, Rakhi, Dilip Tahil and Johnny Lever along with Shah Rukh.
