Japan’s senior citizen Tsukushisai Aoyama is popularly known as the king of instant ramen noodles because of his habit of eating noodles at least once a day for more than three decades.
Instant noodles known as cup noodles in Japan have hundreds of varieties. It is by far the most popular food in Japan and practically everyone is a fan of this food.
But no one is more fond of these noodles than Sokosukesai Aoyama, known as the ‘Instant Ramen King’. A former painter with an engineering degree, Aoyama gave up his career to devote himself to what he loved most.
He has established himself as a professional cup noodle critic by eating the noodles. The 65-year-old claims to have eaten at least one serving of instant noodles a day and a total of 10,000 cups of noodles over the past 30 years.
