The Islamabad High Court has directed to set for hearing the appeal against the sentence of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the Tosha Khana One case.
Chief Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb will hear the case on October 29.
The court accepted the PTI founder’s miscellaneous plea for an early hearing of the appeal against the Tosha Khana sentence.
The court approved the miscellaneous petition in-chamber and directed to appoint the main case.
It should be noted that Judge Muhammad Bashir of the Accountability Court sentenced PTI founder Imran Khan to 14 years in prison in the Tosha Khana case.
The Islamabad High Court suspended the sentence of PTI founder and released him on bail.
The judge of the special court of Islamabad has issued an order for the release of Bushra Bibi, the wife of the former first lady and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan in the Tosha Khana 2 case, after which she was released from Adiala Jail.
It should be noted that on January 31, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were sentenced to 14 years of hard labor in the Tosha Khana reference.
Judge Mohammad Basheer of the Accountability Court Islamabad, while pronouncing the Tosha Khana reference in Adiala Jail, also disqualified Imran Khan and his wife from holding any public office for 10 years.
Accountability Court Islamabad had also imposed a fine of 78 crore 70 rupees on both the accused.
Later on February 16, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan approached the courts against the sentences handed down in the Cipher, Tosha Khana and Nikah cases.
