ISLAMABAD: In the meeting of the Special Committee on Constitutional Amendment, PTI raised the issue of pressure being put on MNAs through coercion and abduction of their families.
A special parliamentary committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of chairman committee Khurshid Shah to approve the draft of the 26th constitutional amendment.
Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Umar Ayub and Barrister Gohar opposed the constitutional amendment. Barrister Gauhar said that our draft is ready then we will give it when we meet the founder.
Opposition leader Umar Ayub came out of the committee meeting and talking to the media said that I told the facts to the committee, Zain Qureshi’s wife was picked up at night, Riyaz Fatiana’s son was kidnapped, our MNAs are being picked up. Their businesses were destroyed, group members of JUIF and members of Akhtarmengal are being threatened, I asked the Law Minister, are you doing all this? If these agencies are doing it, are the agencies not under the control of the government?
