KARACHI: The attacker who died in the airport suicide blast was staying in 2 hotels of Fahad Sadar while he had registered through biometrics.
A special team of the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) has started a search operation in various hotels in Sadar after the details of the suicide attack near the airport and the hotel stay of the deceased assailant and other activities in the city came to light. .
During this time, the data of the people staying there was checked with the help of biometric device and the information regarding the stay was also obtained from them, lady police searchers were also present along with the SIU police.
Apart from checking the details of the persons staying in the hotel and registering them in the register, the police also searched one room at a time.
SIU Police says that phased checking will be done in hotels and guest houses where people from other cities come and stay in the hotels.
SIU Police say that during the search operation in the hotels, several suspects have been detained and they will be released after the information is completed.
