Lahore: Former President Arif Alvi met Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman in which they discussed the proposed constitutional amendment and political issues.
The former president reached Mansurah, the center of Jamaat-e-Islami, Lahore, where he met with Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman and other leaders of the Jamaat.
Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami spokesperson Qaiser Sharif said that the current political situation in the country will be discussed in the meeting.
Yesterday, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rahman said that he is in touch with Tehreek-e-Insaaf leaders. Jamaat-e-Islami has also been condemning certain actions against Tehreek-e-Insaaf and its leadership.
