ISLAMABAD: Dead bodies of 4 people were recovered from a vehicle parked near Bhera on Motorway M2 while one person was found unconscious.
According to the Motorway Police, while patrolling near Bhera, it was reported that a vehicle was parked on the side of the road. When they reached there for help, there were five people in the vehicle in a semi-conscious state, who were immediately taken to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for medical assistance. Four people died during treatment in the hospital, while one patient who was brought in a state of unconsciousness is in a critical condition. All the persons belong to the same family who are residents of Lahore and were traveling towards Islamabad.
According to doctors, the cause of the deaths could be food poisoning. The deceased include 60-year-old Rumila, 30-year-old Mehwish, 28-year-old Samar and 4-year-old Aoun, while 30-year-old Umar Qasim is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Staff of police station Phalwaran, Bhera also reached the hospital and started investigation, further legal action is on.
