The National Stadium was also affected by the heavy rain in Karachi on Friday. Due to the intermittent rain, water accumulated in different places of the ground. The PCB staff took emergency measures to drain the water. Arrangements were made to protect the square from damage with the pitches covered, however, water accumulated in the outfield.
Apart from this, there is rain water in various places of the stadium along with the enclosures. On the other hand, the teams of Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans had already canceled the scheduled practice sessions on Friday due to bad weather forecast.
Both teams will practice on Saturday in case of improvement in the weather, consultation of the management and security clearance, on the other hand Karachi Kings player Duplai who suffered from stomach problem is still undergoing treatment in the local hospital.
According to sources close to the franchise, the cricketer from England will be discharged from the hospital on Saturday, the condition of other affected cricketers is also stable.
