KARACHI: Pakistan’s revolutionary 2D hand-drawn animated film ‘The Glassworker’ has been selected as the country’s official nomination for the 2025 Oscars.
The film will compete in the International Feature Film category at the 97th Oscars directed by Usman Riaz.
Usman Riaz shared this news on Instagram and expressed his happiness and gratitude.
The film is currently being screened in cinemas across Pakistan and is the first such film from Pakistan.
The story of ‘The Glass Worker’ revolves around a young glass maker who faces the ups and downs of love and life amid war and political turmoil.
