After the call of protest by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf against rigging in general elections, Section 144 has been imposed in the federal capital.
According to the Islamabad Police spokesperson, security high alert and Section 144 will remain in force in the capital. In this regard, the checking has been tightened at the border points of the city while increasing the patrolling.

Special forces of CTD have also been deployed to deal with any emergency situation. Spokesman of Islamabad Police has said that citizens should carry necessary identification documents while traveling or cooperate with the police during checking.
The police spokesman said that there may be a traffic jam towards F-Nine Park, so citizens should avoid unnecessary travel in that direction.
