Karachi: After winning the 2-Test series against the West Indies 0-1, South Africa started dreaming of reaching the World Championship final.
The decisive match is scheduled at Lord’s next year, Proteas Red Ball Coach Shukri Conrad says that the last few months have been very important in our development as a team and the next few months will be the same.
If we manage to pick up more wins in the meantime then a World Test Champions final could be possible, with South Africa beating the West Indies by 40 runs in the second match after drawing the opening Test.
Reaching the final is not our main goal, our batting was not good in the first innings and we still need to improve in this area, we have a mix of experienced and young batsmen, says Conrad.
