The Saudi Football Federation has imposed a one-match ban on Al-Nasr’s star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to media reports, the star Portuguese footballer has been suspended for one match and fined for making obscene gestures after the 2-3 victory against Al-Shabaab.
Videos went viral on social media in which Ronaldo was celebrating by shaking his ear and pointing his front leg towards the fans.
Reports claimed that “Messi” chants were chanted by Al-Shabaab fans during the match, to which Ronaldo responded after the goal.
The fining committee says they will also have to pay a fine of 10,000 Saudi riyals ($2,666) and 20,000 riyals to Al-Shabaab to cover the cost of filing the complaint.
