National Scholars Conference was held at Pakistan China Friendship Center in Islamabad in which Army Chief General Asim Munir along with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also participated.
Scholars from all schools of thought participated in the conference. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was the chief guest of the conference while Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir participated as the guest of honour.
On this occasion, Federal Minister of Information Atta Tarar and Federal Minister of Religious Affairs were also present in the conference.
Addressing the conference, the Minister of Religious Affairs said that the consultation and suggestions of religious scholars will be helpful. Scholars have an important role in the society, it is the duty of scholars to advise the people of goodness and peace.
Salik Hussain said that scholars should play their role for the elimination of mischief, mischievous elements have nothing to do with Islam. The role of scholars is important in protecting the rights of minorities.
